Community is at the heart of everything we do. In celebration of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) anniversary and Disability Pride Month in July, we’re shining a spotlight on the team behind transit services at WeDriveU’s Peoria, IL, Customer Service Center.

The Operations team recently participated in a special Touch the Bus community event with riders, families, and staff at EP!C, an organization that supports individuals with disabilities and their families throughout Central Illinois.

The event gave attendees an opportunity to meet the team behind CityLift and CountyLink, the ADA paratransit services WeDriveU operates on behalf of the Greater Peoria Mass Transit District (CityLink). Guests explored vehicles, met drivers and staff, and learned more about the transportation services that help connect people to work, school, medical appointments, shopping, and other important destinations throughout the region.

As WeDriveU continues serving the Greater Peoria community, events like Touch the Bus provide an opportunity for riders and families to get to know our team members behind the service. Attendees were able to ask questions, learn more about daily operations, and gain a firsthand look at fully ADA-accessible vehicles that support their mobility and independence, including demos of buses equipped with lifts for wheelchair access.

The event reinforced WeDriveU’s commitment to providing safe, reliable, and compassionate transportation while building strong relationships with the people we serve.
