IPMI Recap: Spotlight on a Zero Emission Future
Highlights from WeDriveU’s amazing week at the 2022 International Parking and Mobility Institute Conference
The WeDriveU team is back from an amazing week at the 2022 International Parking and Mobility Institute Conference in New Orleans (#IPMI2022). We unveiled our new booth showcasing the theme “driving sustainable mobility,” caught up with our customers and partners, and gave away fun prizes like a Commuter gift pak full of road warrior gear.
IPMI highlights
Here’s what topped the highlights according to our team:
1. The presentation, “Reimagining Campus Mobility,” detailed Princeton University’s move to 100% electric transit operations. It was full of tips and lessons for transitioning to a zero emission fleet from Charlie Tennyson, MPA, CAPP (Princeton), Paulo Nunes-Ueno (Nunes-Ueno Consulting, LLC) and Michelle Poyourow (Walker + Associates). WeDriveU is cheering them on as a a proud partner. Here’s more on their initiative and post-IPMI update on the debut of their first electric bus.
Arrivals day at #IPMI2022! Highlights included our customer Princeton's fantastic session on EVs and campus mobility, and tonight's reception at the National WWII Museum. Exciting week ahead at WeDriveU's booth #249. TY @IPMInow! #NewOrleans pic.twitter.com/UfJ0j9DPC5

2. We heard lots of buzz around new ways to enhance campus and workplace mobility at our booth and throughout the conference sessions. Attendees underscored the need to ease mobility to and from workplaces and campus, with a priority on last-mile shuttles making public transit more accessible, and ADA parking shuttles to ease the visitor experience.
3. IPMI’s opening reception at the National WWII Museum was a fun way to catch up with customers and meet fellow IPMI members while immersed in the sights and sounds of that era.
We had an amazing time with WeDriveU’s customers, partners and friends (such as TripShot, VIA, ENC and many others!), including a few short evening breaks to get out and explore NOLA’s hospitality and history.
Overall a fantastic event for our team representing the Shuttle (WeDriveU) and Transit division of National Express North America, including: Joanna Rustin, Cristina Hallner, Julie Walker, Erick VanWagenen, Tim Wayland, Chris Jones, Gillian Zoss, Michael Moriarty, Sean Huonker, Marissa Basile, Rodney Booth and John Finn.
Thanks to IPMI for hosting an amazing event. We’re proud to be members and look forward to IPMI 2023.
