WeDriveU Diversity Initiative WeCelebrateU

Our WeCelebrateU initiative taps into the diverse perspectives and approaches individual employees bring to the workplace. The programs under WeCelebrateU encourage everyone on our team to embrace ideas, accommodate different styles of thinking, and support a flexible and inclusive work environment where others connect and collaborate, and help cultivate different types of leaders.

One of the exciting ways we celebrate and support team members is through our employee resource groups (ERGs), such as our Women’s Inspiration Network (WIN), Unidos for WeDriveU (Latino/Hispanic), OPEN at WeDriveU (LGBTQ+) and Ubuntu (African-American) communities. These ERGs foster connections and dialogue around team members’ diverse backgrounds, thoughts, and perspectives by promoting networking, career resources and community service.

Creating Opportunities

WeDriveU strives to attract, retain and advance talent from underrepresented groups: Women, Black, Latinx, Indigenous, Multiracial, LGBTQ+ employees, People with Disabilities, and Veterans. We collaborate with clients and local organizations to promote career opportunities and facilitate job placement.

Fostering Awareness

There are several ways we help our employees understand the journeys of others, from WeDriveUniversity courses such as Unconscious Bias and Inclusive Conversations, to celebrating our Veterans and transportation pioneers.

Always Listening

We encourage connection through focus groups, town halls, huddles, surveys and celebrations, in addition to frequent leadership team visits with employees at our Customer Service Centers and client sites.

Giving Back

Our team’s compassion shines through volunteerism, from food banks to our Stuff the Bus toy drive. We also collaborate with customers on outreach to underserved communities supported by our local Customer Service Center teams, such as operating Genentech’s free high-speed internet bus for local schools, our bus donation for the West African Community Council, and many other projects.

Promoting Excellence

WeDriveU participates in programs of our parent company, Mobico Group, to develop best practices and recognize employees who lead change. We also advocate on behalf of clients for industry recognition around diversity and accessible transportation.
