Shuttle provider expands its support for WACC’s youth and family programs

WeDriveU, the leading transportation provider for workplace and campus shuttle solutions, expanded its collaboration with the Seattle-based West African Community Council (WACC) by donating a bus to support its preschool program and other member services. The donation reflects WeDriveU’s passion for being “Partners Beyond the Bus” through community support and volunteerism across the U.S.

Introduced to WeDriveU by the United Way of King County, WACC is a 501(c)3 nonprofit serving immigrants and refugees through advocacy, assistance and education services. Throughout the pandemic, WeDriveU has collaborated with food banks and other resources to transport food and educational supplies to WACC.

WeDriveU Program Manager Scott McKinnis added, “After many months of working with WACC, we’ve gotten to know the families and see the difference our support makes. Giving back and making mobility easier is incredibly rewarding and really reflects the spirit of giving we share with employers we serve in Seattle.”

WACC helps more than 4,000 individuals each year through advocacy, assistance, education and support.

WACC Executive Director and Founder Issa Ndiaye remarked, “WeDriveU’s bus donation is having a significant impact by improving access to educational activities and community services that enrich the lives of our children and families.
