Saluting Northwestern University’s Sustainable Transportation

Celebrating Campus Sustainability Month with NU’s Transportation & Parking team

Wishing Paul Merkey’s Northwestern University Transportation team and WeDriveU’s Chicago-based shuttle team a happy Campus Sustainability Month – an annual Fall program of AASHE (the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education).

Serving roughly 1.4 million rides since early 2019, Northwestern’s shuttles have taken a lot of single-occupancy vehicles (SOVs) off Chicago area roads. Operated by WeDriveU’s university shuttle solutions team, NU’s program serves employees and students at Northwestern’s Chicago and Evanston campuses and essential workers for three local hospital partners.

We’re huge fans of both organizations and proud of NU’s achievements leading to its designation among the 2020 Best Workplaces for Commuters.
