Hear how Princeton is accelerating TigerTransit’s transition to an electric fleet
We’re delighted to congratulate Princeton’s TigerTransit team on debuting on the 2023 Best Workplaces for Commuters and Best Universities for Commuters list. Here’s a replay of their keynote presentation during the award ceremony on January 26th.
Guest speakers included Princeton’s Amanda Stevens, Assistant Director, Campus Engagement and Charlie Tennyson, Director, Transportation and Parking Services.
Charlie Tennyson noted, “…we partner with our great friends at WeDriveU. They operate our transit service which is called TigerTransit. We are electrifying the service this year, so that’s something that we’ve been working in partnership with WeDriveU on for a couple years now.”
Tennyson continued, “And this pictured above is one of our new electric buses. We’ve received about six of the 17 vehicles that we’re bringing to campus. Our fleet will be 100 percent electric once the seventeenth vehicle is in service, which we expect will be the end of this spring semester…”
Amanda Stevens described the impact of Princeton’s ‘Revise Your Ride’ commuter incentive program, one of the initiatives included in the award among Best Universities for Commuters.
