WeDriveU Celebrates #EarthDayEveryDay
WeDriveU’s Earth Month celebrations reflect our strong commitment to sustainable transportation.
WeDriveU’s Customer Success and Operations teams have shared its #EarthDayEveryDay message throughout the month, beginning with an SF Bay Area EV demo tour in collaboration with ABC Companies and Proterra, and culminating with Earth Day events across the U.S.
Earth Day Every Day
Today’s WeDriveU events, which promote shared alternatives to driving to work alone, showcase EV demos and Earth-friendly seed card passenger giveaways made in the U.S.A. of organic, handmade paper incorporating elements from nature including flower petals and seeds.
“WeDriveU’s #EarthDayEveryDay initiative aligns with our focus on promoting shared mobility options and recognizing organizations for taking action to protect the Earth for future generations,” said Julie Bond, Program Manager, Best Workplaces for Commuters. “WeDriveU customers consistently win our awards for their impact on reducing traffic congestion and emissions. It’s great to see BWC honorees teaming on Earth Day celebrations and demonstrating that the return to office and campus translates to a return to sustainability.”
WeDriveU serves millions of annual passengers with solutions ranging from last-mile shuttles linking workplaces and campuses to public transit stops, to on-demand, intercampus, and long-distance commuter service.
EVs: Electrifying Mobility
As the Shuttle division of National Express North America, WeDriveU has extensive experience operating electric and renewable diesel shuttle fleets for clients, many of which are distinguished with the National Standard of Excellence among the 2022 Best Workplaces for Commuters. Today, roughly 10 percent of WeDriveU’s fleet is electric – from motor coaches to vans – and WeDriveU plans to take delivery of 40 additional zero emission vehicles this year.
“Our Earth Day celebrations reflect the passion we share with our customers for inspiring sustainable choices and the progress we’re making on our commitment to transitioning to zero emission vehicles,” said Erick Van Wagenen, CEO and President, WeDriveU. “We’re well on our way to realizing WeDriveU’s EV2030 vision thanks to our exceptional customers, team and partners.”
