WeDriveU Team Members Shine at 2025 LIT Leadership Summit
We’re grateful to our friends at LIT for hosting an amazing 2025 Leadership Summit in Albuquerque, which spotlighted the many ways LIT advances and develops all professionals in transit.
LIT Summit Highlights
Grads in the Spotlight
Congratulations to WeDriveU’s LIT’s Leadership Academy graduates who completed the rigorous six-month training and development experience: Elger Godinez, Safety Manager; Oaris Ortiz, Road Safety Supervisor; Richard Cerecerez, HR Business Partner; and Jonathan Lopez, Sr. Operations Manager.
Public-Private Partnerships
General Counsel Jose Valera, Exec Sponsor of WeDriveU’s Unidos ERG, kicked-off the graduation and awards ceremony with a message about belonging and the power of public-private partnerships in transit.
Recognizing Trailblazers
WeDriveU won two LIT Trailblazer awards honoring private sector partners propelling LIT’s mission. SVP Marketing, Communications & Community Joanna Rustin accepted WeDriveU’s award for LIT advocacy and support:
“We thank LIT’s Board of Directors and leadership for recognizing WeDriveU,” adding “Blazing trails reflects WeDriveU’s unwavering commitment to transit, and values we share with LIT around innovative solutions, the power of community, curiosity about what’s possible, and paying it forward to the next generation.”
Joanna also expressed WeDriveU’s gratitude to Board Member Carmen Garcia who inspired LIT to launch the new Trailblazer awards.
Our Marketing team’s Cristina Hallner was recognized for her contributions to expanding LIT’s Leadership Academy.
Supporting Future Generations
In support of LIT’s efforts to lift future transit leaders, we joined the North American Transit Alliance in presenting a scholarship to emerging leader, Jasmin Salvador. Congrats, Jasmin!
We also toasted LIT’s 10th anniversary rebranding and Hispanic Heritage Month.
