Behind the Scenes: Mobility at Political Conventions
To ensure the convenience, productivity and safety of hundreds of its staffers, on-air talent, executives and guests at 2012 political conventions, this global news organization’s Corporate Travel Services team selected WeDriveU to manage ground transportation in both U.S. host cities. Take a look behind the scenes at how our ground transportation program enabled their talent to get around while they covered the presidential candidates.
An estimated 15,000 members of the media descended on Tampa and Charlotte to cover the 2012 Republican National Convention and Democratic National Convention. By planning ahead and taking a strategic approach to transportation, getting around those crowds was much easier. WeDriveU’s onsite transportation managers and drivers served 2,500 reservations over 20 days using Avis vehicles.
